KIDCITY CHILDREN'S MUSEUM |
|
Stroller Policy: For everyone's safety, Kidcity does not allow strollers within the exhibits and hallways of the museum. If you bring a stroller, you may park it in our coatroom. Kidcity's Rules: Kidcity has three rules for all visitors.
Kidcity's Expansion: Over the past three years, Kidcity has been constructing a $3.2 million expansion project, and there are some exhibit areas which are not yet complete. Please call the museum, at (860) 347-0495, for the most current information about open exhibits. Where to Eat & Things to Do: Kidcity does not sell food or have a dining area. However, we are located a few steps from historic Main Street, Middletown, and there are nearly 30 places to eat within a few blocks. Menus are available at the front desk, or you can view the possibilities on our list of places to eat and things to do. Access for People With Disabilities: Kidcity has an elevator which serves all levels of the museum, and there are handicapped-accessible rest rooms throughout the building. Our exhibits are sized for children ages 8 and younger, and may not be appropriate or safe for older children. Payment methods: Kidcity accepts cash, checks, Visa and Mastercard Gift Certificates: By calling or visiting the museum, you may purchase one-visit passes that may be used as gifts. We also offer memberships as gifts. Book Shop: Kidcity has a small children's book shop and also offers Kidcity t-shirts ($5) and sweatshirts ($7) for sale. Crowds: Kidcity does sometimes get crowded (about a dozen days per year), and at those times, we reserve the right to limit the number of families who enter the museum. Generally, our concern is that each visitor have the room to enjoy their play. At those times, we keep a list of waiting families, and admit them in the order they arrived. |
